Many recorders ask for steps before you start, or bolt on AI, assistants and cloud where they aren't needed. A native recorder was missing — fast to record, genuinely serious about your audio (never losing anything) and private.
Everything revolves around one gesture
We built a native iOS app (SwiftUI + SwiftData) where one tap starts recording, with no dialogs. It writes audio to disk continuously with an honest recovery if something fails, lets you continue a recording by appending segments, drop blind markers, transcribe on-device with transcript↔audio navigation (search a word and jump to the second) and real playback (speeds, skip silence, remembered position). No cloud, no account.

Onda is in testing and will arrive on the App Store for iPhone very soon. Recording, playback, markers and export are free and unlimited; Onda Pro is a single payment that unlocks unlimited transcription and search. No subscription.
