ZenMote Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ZenMote — Android TV Remote Control (the “App”) handles information when you use it on your iPhone. ZenMote turns your phone into a remote control for compatible TVs and players (Android TV, Roku, Samsung, LG and similar) by communicating with them over your local network. Its remote-control features need no account and no personal details. To keep the App free and to improve it, ZenMote also uses third-party advertising and analytics services that may collect device identifiers, as described below.
1. Data controller
The controller for the App and this policy is Tysora — Leopoldo Pérez Ortiz, a self-employed professional (autónomo), based at Avenida Isaac Albéniz 12, 45638 Pepino (Toledo), Spain.
For any privacy matter you can reach us at hola@tysora.es.
2. What data we process
Local-network operation: to discover and control your devices, the App detects compatible TVs and players on the same Wi-Fi network using standard discovery protocols. This information (device names, local network addresses and pairings) is processed on your device and, where applicable, stored locally on it so it can remember your remotes. It is not sent to our servers.
Core function: ZenMote's remote-control features run over your local network and need no account, name, email, phone number, location, or access to your contacts, photos or microphone.
Usage, diagnostics and advertising: to keep the App free and to improve it, ZenMote uses third-party services that may collect device and usage data — including a device advertising identifier (IDFA), ad-interaction events, and analytics and crash data. These are detailed in “Third-party services and advertising”. Subscribers to ZenMote Pro do not see ads.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
ZenMote is freemium and offers a “Pro” option. All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple (App Store / StoreKit). Tysora does not receive, store or have access to your payment details (card, banking data or Apple ID data).
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and restore purchases: it processes a random app-user ID and your purchase status, not your name or email. Managing your subscription, billing and automatic renewal happen through your Apple account and are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
4. Third-party services and advertising
ZenMote uses the following third-party services:
• Google AdMob to display ads to non-subscribers. AdMob may collect and process a device advertising identifier (IDFA) and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): before any tracking, we ask for your permission via Apple's ATT prompt. If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads.
• Google Firebase (Analytics & Cloud Messaging): anonymous/aggregated usage and crash analytics, and push notifications (if you opt in). See: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and restore purchases. It processes a random app-user ID and your purchase status, not your name or email. See: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Subscribers to ZenMote Pro do not see ads. We never sell your personal data.
5. Purpose and legal basis
We process the information described above to (a) provide the remote-control functionality you request, (b) maintain the App’s security and stability, (c) display and measure advertising in the free version, and (d) comply with our legal obligations. The legal basis for the remote control is the performance of the service you request and our legitimate interest in a stable App. Personalized advertising and analytics that use identifiers rely on your consent (via the ATT prompt and OS-level permissions), which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings.
6. Sharing and sale of data
We never sell your personal data. We share limited data with the third-party services listed above (Google AdMob, Google Firebase and RevenueCat) strictly to provide advertising, analytics and subscription management, and with the devices you choose to control on your local network. Each provider processes that data under its own privacy policy.
7. Retention
Pairings and preferences are stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed; you can remove them by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it. Data processed by the third-party providers is retained according to their respective policies.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
If you reside in the European Economic Area, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, as well as data portability. You can control ad tracking at any time from the App Tracking Transparency prompt or iOS Settings. To exercise your rights or raise a query, email hola@tysora.es. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
9. U.S. privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. ZenMote does not sell your personal information. You can limit ad tracking at any time by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or disabling “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in iOS Settings. To exercise a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request, email hola@tysora.es.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or to the law. We will post the current version on this page and indicate the last-updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
