Box Breathing Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Box Breathing (the “App”) handles information when you use it. Box Breathing is a guided-breathing app; it requires no sign-up and your sessions, history and settings are stored on your device. To keep it free, it shows ads and offers an optional Plus subscription, and it uses diagnostics and analytics tools that may collect device identifiers, as described below.

1. Data controller

The controller for the App and this policy is Tysora — Leopoldo Pérez Ortiz, a self-employed professional (autónomo), based at Avenida Isaac Albéniz 12, 45638 Pepino (Toledo), Spain.

For any privacy matter you can reach us at hola@tysora.es.

2. No account, on-device data

The App works without sign-up. Your breathing sessions, history, milestones and settings are stored locally on your device. If you export your history, the file is generated on the device and you decide whether to share it.

3. Permissions

Notifications: the App uses the notification permission to send the reminders you enable; you can revoke it in system settings.

The App does not access the microphone, camera, location, your contacts or your messages. It does not collect health data.

4. Advertising and consent

To keep the App free, we show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process an advertising identifier and interaction data. In the European Union we ask for consent through Google's form (UMP) and you can opt for non-personalized ads. On iPhone and iPad we ask for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT); if you allow it, AdMob may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads, and if not, ads will be non-personalized. Plus subscribers see no ads.

5. Plus subscription

The App offers a Plus subscription (monthly or annual) and a one-time “lifetime” purchase, managed by the store (Google Play or App Store) through RevenueCat. Tysora does not receive or store your payment details; RevenueCat processes a random user identifier and your purchase status to activate Plus on your device.

6. Third-party services

Google AdMob to show ads to non-subscribers; on iOS with App Tracking Transparency and IDFA subject to your consent. Policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your advertising consent (GDPR/CCPA).

RevenueCat to manage the Plus subscription (validated with Apple/Google). Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Usage analytics: on Android we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to measure aggregate usage and log crashes; on iOS we use Amplitude for aggregate usage metrics.

We never sell your personal data.

7. Purpose and legal basis

We process the information to (a) provide the App's functionality, (b) keep it stable and fix bugs, (c) show and measure advertising in the free version, (d) manage the Plus subscription and (e) meet legal obligations. Personalized advertising relies on your consent, which you can withdraw anytime.

8. Retention

Your sessions, history and settings are kept locally for as long as the App is installed; you can remove them by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. Data processed by third-party providers is retained per their policies.

9. Your rights (GDPR)

If you reside in the European Economic Area, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, and data portability. You can change your advertising consent in the App or your device settings. To exercise your rights, email hola@tysora.es. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

10. U.S. privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Box Breathing does not sell your personal information. You can limit ad tracking by resetting your advertising identifier in your device settings or by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS.

11. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Wellness, not a medical device

Box Breathing is a wellness and relaxation tool; it is not a medical device and does not collect health data. It does not replace the advice or care of a medical professional.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or the law; we'll post the current version on this page with its date. For any question, write to us at hola@tysora.es.
