WAUpdater Privacy Policy

The controller for the App and this policy is Tysora — Leopoldo Pérez Ortiz, a self-employed professional (autónomo), based at Avenida Isaac Albéniz 12, 45638 Pepino (Toledo), Spain.

No account or personal data: the App does not ask you to sign up and does not collect your name, email, phone number or the content of your WhatsApp chats.

Version check: to compare versions, the App queries on your own device which WhatsApp version you have installed. That check happens locally.

Advertising and diagnostics: to keep the App free, we show ads and measure their use through third-party services that may collect device data, an advertising identifier, interaction data and usage events (for example, that the App was opened or “Update” was tapped).

Notifications: the App uses the notification permission to alert you when a new WhatsApp version is out. You can revoke it anytime in Android settings.

Installed-app query: to read the installed WhatsApp version, the App queries that information from the system. It does not collect the list of all your apps for advertising purposes.

The App does not access the microphone, camera, location, your contacts or your messages.

Firebase Analytics (Google) to measure aggregate usage events and improve the App.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to log errors and crashes and improve stability.

We never sell your personal data.

We process the information to (a) provide the App's functionality (check versions and alert you), (b) keep it stable and fix bugs, (c) show and measure advertising, and (d) meet legal obligations. Personalized advertising relies on your consent (Google's UMP form), which you can withdraw anytime.

We never sell your personal data. We share limited data with Google (AdMob, UMP, Firebase) strictly to serve and measure advertising, manage consent and measure usage.

Your settings are kept locally for as long as the App is installed; you can remove them by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. Data processed by third-party providers is retained per their policies.

If you reside in the European Economic Area, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, and data portability. You can change your advertising consent from the App or Android settings. To exercise your rights, email hola@tysora.es. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

WAUpdater does not sell your personal information. You can limit ad tracking by resetting your advertising identifier in Android settings.

The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
