Zip Extractor Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Zip Extractor (the “App”) handles information when you use it on your iPhone or iPad. Zip Extractor is a utility to open, create and compress archives (RAR, 7z, ZIP and more); all extraction and compression happen on your device and your files are never uploaded to any server. To keep it free, it shows ads and uses third-party diagnostics that may collect device identifiers, as described below.
1. Data controller
The controller for the App and this policy is Tysora — Leopoldo Pérez Ortiz, a self-employed professional (autónomo), based at Avenida Isaac Albéniz 12, 45638 Pepino (Toledo), Spain.
For any privacy matter you can reach us at hola@tysora.es.
2. What data we process
Your files: the files you open, extract or compress are processed entirely on your device. We do not upload, read or store them on any server. The App only accesses the files you choose via the document picker or the Share sheet.
Advertising and diagnostics: to keep the App free, we show ads and measure their use through third-party services that may collect device data, an advertising identifier (IDFA), interaction data and usage events (for example, which format was extracted or compressed). Premium subscribers see no ads.
3. Permissions and file access
Files: the App only accesses the files you select to extract or compress; it does not browse your device on its own.
The App does not access the microphone, camera, location, your contacts or your photos.
App Tracking Transparency and consent: in the European Union we show a consent form (Google UMP) and, for personalized advertising, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads and can keep using the App normally.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Zip Extractor offers a Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) and a one-time “Lifetime” purchase, managed by Apple (App Store / StoreKit). Tysora does not receive or store your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and restore purchases: it processes a random app-user ID and your purchase status, not your name or email.
5. Third-party services
Google AdMob to display ads to non-subscribers; it may process the IDFA and ad-interaction data. Policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent preferences (GDPR/CCPA).
Firebase Analytics (Google) to measure aggregate usage events (for example, extractions or compressions performed) and improve the App.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to log errors and crashes and improve stability.
RevenueCat to manage the subscription and restore purchases. Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Premium subscribers see no ads. We never sell your personal data.
6. Purpose and legal basis
We process the information to (a) provide the App's functionality, (b) keep it stable and fix bugs, (c) show and measure advertising in the free version, and (d) meet legal obligations. Personalized advertising relies on your consent (the UMP form and the ATT prompt), which you can withdraw anytime in iOS Settings.
7. Sharing and sale of data
We never sell your personal data. We share limited data with Google (AdMob, UMP, Firebase) and RevenueCat strictly to provide advertising, manage consent, measure usage and manage the subscription. We never share the contents of your files.
8. Retention
Your settings and recent-operations history are kept locally for as long as the App is installed; you can remove them by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. Data processed by third-party providers is retained per their policies.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
If you reside in the European Economic Area, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, and data portability. You can change your advertising consent in iOS Settings. To exercise your rights, email hola@tysora.es. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
10. U.S. privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Zip Extractor does not sell your personal information. You can limit ad tracking by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in iOS Settings.
11. Children
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or the law; we'll post the current version on this page with its date. For any question, write to us at hola@tysora.es.
